AT WHAT AGE AM I ELIGIBLE TO APPLY FOR MISS RURAL WINNEBAGO?

Females, ages 13 to 17 years old are eligible based on their age on January 1 of the application year. Miss Rural is eligible to turn 18 years old during her reign.

DO I NEED TO LIVE IN WINNEBAGO COUNTY TO APPLY FOR MISS RURAL WINNEBAGO?

The MRW candidate needs to have a primary home address located in Winnebago County or to be currently attending school in Winnebago County.

DO I NEED EXPERIENCE OR A BACKGROUND IN AGRICULTURE TO APPLY FOR MISS RURAL WINNEBAGO?

MRW applicants do not need any experience or background in agriculture to apply for Miss Rural Winnebago. Applicants do not need to be involved in a 4-H Club or FFA Chapter, and they do not need to have previously exhibited at the Winnebago County Fair.

WHAT EVENTS DOES MISS RURAL WINNEBAGO ATTEND?

MRW is required to attend the Waukau Youth Days Chicken BBQ in June and is encouraged to attend the Winnebago County Fair. Other events are up to her discretion. She will work with the program coordinator to create a schedule that best fits her interests.

WHEN ARE MRW CANDIDATE APPLICATIONS DUE?

2024 Miss Rural Winnebago Applications open on January 1, 2024, and close on May 31, 2024. Applications can be accessed under the "Candidates" page of our website.

IS MISS RURAL WINNEBAGO ASSOCIATED TO THE WINNEBAGO COUNTY FAIREST OF THE FAIR (FOTF) PROGRAM?

Miss Rural Winnebago is coordinated separately from the Winnebago County Fairest of the Fair/Ambassador program. MRW is supported by the Waukau Youth Group. Frequently MRW and FOTF will overlap and share appearances.
